HB 101 passes legislature- Take action to have Governor Deal sign this into law.
Late yesterday the Georgia state legislature approved HB 101 which requires a minimum safe passing distance of 3 feet when overtaking cyclists. In addition to the safe passing language, HB101 also cleans up Georgia state code in regard to bicycling by legalizing the use of recumbent bicycles, further defining bike lanes and updated equipment requirements.
Take action today to have Governor Deal sign this important measure into law. Use the link below to generate a form letter which you can personalize and email to Governor Deal. This only takes about 2-3 minutes to complete and is a great way to register the wider voice of the cycling community and its supporters.

New Website is UP!
At long last we finally have a new website. By its nature this is a work in progress since it should be a reflection of the activities and changes going on in the cycling community. See the new ride calendar for information on group rides, organized centuries and racing, as well as community events that impact cyclists and quality of life in the community. Also for those of you missing the pithy, irony of the Great Gabollini’s commentary on cycling, community and life as a cyclist, get ready for Gabollini’s Fire, his new blog and source wisdom and humor. To make suggestions or add new events, send an email to cccriders@gmail.com
