MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE
GEORGIA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SERIES
FLAT ROCK PARK – COLUMBUS
SUNDAY, APRIL 19

Come see the best Pro and Amateur racers in the Southeast compete for cash and prizes! This is the second stopover of the eight event series (March-August) to crown the 2009 USAC State Champions.

The race day events will include:
· The Best spectator venue in the southeast
· Bike races for Kids (3-12, various groupings)
· First Timers’ Race – great opportunity to try on the excitement of MTB racing!!
· Bring a Pic Nic - Race action and natural beauty in the historic setting of Flat Rock Park

8:30 am – Kids Races – Everyone gets on the podium!
9:30 am – 1st Wave – Yellow Numbers (Pro’s, Expert, Sport)
11:30 am – 2nd Wave – White Numbers (Clydesdales, Grand Masters, Beginners)

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The trail consists of 95% single track with marked crossing walks where crossing the paved park road. Technical difficulty ranges from beginner to expert level ability. See the Flat Rock tabe on the Columbus Cycling Club website (http://www.columbuscyclingclub.org/).

DIRECTIONS - To the Trail Head and Registration
· The trail head is 0.7 mile into the park from the park entrance (stay on the paved road)
· After you cross the first bike/ped cross walk, parking will be on the right.
